How can I get rid of the spyware CoolWWWSearch and Smitfraud-C?

I already tried Spybot S%26D, Ad-Adware SE Personal, SpywareGuard, and smitRem. None worked :( It has been bothering me for days with the fake windows and alerts, it changed my home page, and the internet opens by itself in Ads or other fake antispyware.

Pablo, when you ran SmitRem, did you do so in Safe Mode? That's the only way that it will work. To get rid of anything to do with CoolWebSearch, try downloading CWShredder. It does a reasonable job, but it's not perfect.

I had a similar problem with a PC that I was repairing and nothing I used worked and I found only free scans not fully working help. Go to the link below and download both the spyware and the virus software. It is fully functional and free. and if you want you can pay to get the full featured one . But the free ones update hourly and are easy to use and have a lot of features.
The SmitRem removal tool is obsolete and has not been recommended in ages.
