I'm staying a my parent's house for the next few weeks and I cannot connect my laptop's wireless to their wireless router. I've tried everything...putting up/down firewalls, installing antispyware, setting up a new wireless connection, changing internet configurations, restarting everything 100 million times....you name it.
Sometimes the symbol on the bottom of the screen shows that I do have a connection, but when I try to get on a website, it tells me I have no access (sometimes my homepage will show up, but that's it.)
The connection symbol goes off and on and sometimes it'll say "limited access."
Other people in my family have laptops and they are all connected to the internet...and my internet worked fine before I moved in here.
(It's a 2007 Toshiba w/ Vista...if that makes a difference)
My laptop is NOT connecting to the internet!(a complicated situation) someone with expertise?antispam
Vista, ugh...
1) It could be the Wireless adapter driver issue. Upgrade the latest driver. Or use Microsoft Wireless Zero Configuration service.
2) You may need to update the software or firmware in your wireless router or access point.
3) Changing wireless networking channels.
4) Incorrect configuration. The mismatch might be in the form of different authentication settings, incompatible equipment, or other configuration issues.
