Problem with hidden files on WinXP SP2?noton
You can resolve the issue by doing the following tweak to the registry...but do back up your registry before doing any changes...
1) go to Run -%26gt; type regedit
2) now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\
CURRENTVERSION\Explorer\
Advanced\Folder\Hidden
2) now you can see 2 keys NOHIDDEN and SHOWALL here
3) Set the CheckedValue of NOHIDDEN to 0 and CheckedValue of SHOWALL to 1
4) now try to select show hidden files and folders. This should show your hidden files and folders.

Hi,

Older versions of the Windows XP installation CD do not come with SATA drivers, so Windows cannot see the drive to install to it. To fix this problem, you'll need to get your SATA controller driver on a floppy disk (primitive, I know), and during the beginning of the Windows XP installation "boot up," it'll ask you to press F6 (I believe it's F6) to configure any SATA, SCSI, or additional drives. Press F6, and select the driver you've downloaded to your floppy disk. After the drivers are loaded, continue the installation as normal.
Hope this helps you. If you need additional help related to this problem, feel free to email me!
