Problems with a anti spyware program?

I installed CA anti spyware on my vista pc but it was conflicting with another security program i had, so i un installed the CA program but on checking the list of programs on my pc CA antispyware is still listed even after i un installed and restarted my pc, I also have a CA security center icon on my desktop i can`t seem to get rid of this either..any ideas on how i can get this program off my pc without doing anything too drastic?

you must download the following software: "Revo Uninstaller" version 1.40 or 1.50.(It is free)

After having installed it, you have to launch it and clik on icon of your antivirus and click on button "uninstall." You must follow procedures which will ask you during uninstal of obsolete program.

"Revo Uninstaller"is a truth portentous tool. It removes all trash files after an uninstallation.

Use "Hunter" mode - drag and drop the floating blue target icon on to the CA security center desktop icon

If that doesn't remove CA, go into the C Program folder of CA and rename every file and folder with suffix _old so if there is a file named abc.exe rename it abc_old.exe; reboot your pc, and go back into the program folder and manually delete each file and folder.
