Screwy Computer Problems That a Comp Genius Couldn't Figure Out?

...... so i was tryin to watch a video i hunted down on the net for my online humanities class(not a youtube video). The media window tells me i need to download activeX stuff, so i say ok fine and i d/l it. Before i go on let me tell u that the site was kinda shady lookin an not too professional. After downloading the crap every time i start my web browser crappy windows pop up that look like Microsoft error windows and tell me to download antispyware by clicking OK, when i do it wants me to download a program called iedefender.exe, about 10 windows that say this appear when i start my browser an 3 more appear after every time i surf from site to site, i got mcafee and ad-aware, they both found nothing an im thinkin it installed and integrated into my MS files, so i try an reboot my computer after backing up all my stuff. My computer has demons so when i boot from my motherboard CD like i am saposed to do the 1st time i reboot, it just turns off 5 sec after i select the reboot option
