Also i connect to the internet via an ADSL router. I jus have to enter my IP address in TCP\IP properties,no other software reqd. How to configure such an internet connection in VISTA (give steps). Will i have to reconfigure my router? Also in VISTA there is sumthing called as a WINDOWS DEFENDER.What exactly is it-antivirus or antispyware or jus a firewall? Do you have any other advice for me before i install VISTA.
Advice needed for upgrading from XP to VISTA.?free spyware
yes the computer will be running slower because the OS will be taking up a lot of RAM and CPU. Your hardware is pretty good for Vista and i dont think you will really have any problems.. I would wait to put vista on until a SP1 comes out for it... there are a lot of hole that Microsoft is working on fixing. Windows Defender is an anti spyware software and in my opinion, works pretty good.. if you want to install vista, i would back up your computer before you install in case there are any problems with the install..
