I have problems with my WINDOWS SECURITY CENTER. could you help me???

I am going to give you the programs I have:

FIREWALL:

PC tools Firewall Plus (ON)

Windows Firewall (Off)

VIRUS PROTECTION:

Avira Antivir PersonalEdition( Out of date)....I cant update, I dont know why (ON)

MALWARE PROTECTION:

Avira Antivir PersonalEdition( Out of date)....I cant update, I dont know why (ON)

Windows Defender (ON)

I also have Spyware Doctor(but it doesnt appear on the list of antispyware programs...however its ON)

I think this whole thing is wrong....it seems wrong to me...

And its making my PC run slow.

PLEASE give me some advice to fix this issue.

First off Spyware Doctor isn't your best choice. They charge, they're often affiliated with the people who put the spyware on you in the first place, and they don't do that good a job of getting rid of the things that they do "detect".

Start at the top of this list. Install the products one at a time and then install all of their updates. Have each one complete a full scan before proceeding to the next one. One of these *should* fix your problem. Keep in mind that everyone of these things is either free of charge or open source. When you're done, be sure to go to Windows Update and apply ALL of the patches.

Remove the Avira and install it again, turn your Windows firewall on, and the PC tools off.
