I need help with some spyware on my computer!!!?

somehow i got a bunch of spyware on my computer. I don't have a antispyware program , so how can i get rid of all this junk its really slowing my computer down. is there a free program i can download? can i get rid of the stuff myself PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!

There are several and they are free. The best anti-spyware is Spybot Search %26 Distroy (beware of imitators). If you need really good free virus protection, try AVAST. It updates daily and works great. Exactly what is your computer doing? Are there any messages popping up?
