Do you think people should be given a test on Internet Safety/Security before being allowed to get an Internet connection?

This test would quiz their knowledge on the basics of Internet security, operating Antivirus Antispyware Firewall programs, simple procedures to remove viruses and spyware, and the importance of keeping their PC updated.

How do you prevent yourself becoming a victim of a virus/spyware?

If infected how do you remove a virus/spyware?

What do you need to do if your Antivirus can鈥檛 remove a virus/spyware normally?

What is a Firewall?

Could this help prevent the average joe becoming a member of a botnet?

If everyone knew everything you have listed, I guess there would not be a reason for yahoo answers to carry computer %26 internet- security would there.

Personally I think it's up to the individual if he or she wants to research these problems, after all its all here on their computer all it takes is a bit of intrist and curiosity and a desire to learn.
